Mehrin and I arrived home from Aotearoa last night.
These are some pictures from worship with Brenda and Julianne (from Cityside in Auckland) on Friday night:

These are some pics of the city from our hotel:

These are pictures of some of us making flax paper with Peter Majendie (from Side Door) on Saturday morning:

These are some pictures from the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, where Professor John Simpson walked us through their controversial Stations of the Cross bas reliefs, sculpted by local artist, Llew Summers:

On Saturday night Peter and Joyce Majendie curated worship for us. This is a raincloud they constructed:

The rain was made from magnetic tape, and we were invited to cut out a piece of the tape, as a symbol of any part of our lives that we’d like to edit out.
Saturday night we picked Marcus up from the airport (he’d been at Seeds Retreat, which was unfortunately the same weekend). Sunday morning we were running the service at Oxford Terrace. (We used a lot of the wilderness stuff that we did for Surrender and Vetamorphus earlier this year.) Here are some pics from Sunday morning:

This is one of Peter Majendie’s flax paper Pentecost banners, which are up for auction to raise money for the Christmas Labyrinth. (They’re currently hanging in the sanctuary at The Ox.)

This burning bush sculpture was made by Peter Majendie:

Marcus has posted the Prayer of Confession we used here, and is going to post some more from the service later… (Liturgy has been posted here. Sermon has been posted here.)
(Thanks heaps to Mehrin, Adrienne, Jemma, Danae, Mike, Chris, Cheryl, Mark, Peter, Joyce Alison, Eric and Sam!)
These are pictures of people talking throughout the weekend!

Overall it was a great weekend (although a little exhausting)! It was very encouraging to meet a whole lot of people who have been trying out interesting things, and being able to spark off new ideas and such.
Yesterday afternoon Mehrin and I flew from Christchurch to Auckland.

Then in the evening we flew to Melbourne.
(Marcus is still in Auckland.)
