Good News Stories

Just gotten back from a weekend on Philip Island for Good News Stories, which has been TEAR Australia‘s Victorian gathering this year. I was involved in planning some of the weekend, particularly a few little creative interactive elements throughout the weekend, and some reflective worship spaces early on Sunday morning. For the morning worship space I curated a few prayer stations (similar to what I did with Urban Seed in Bendigo recently) and mixed some live video using VDMX, while Noah Symons (Great Earthquake) provided some reflective music. It was great being able to work with a live muso, and doing some alt worship stuff that was well integrated into the program. Also enjoyed getting to have a discussion with Greg Restall and Dave Andrews about how worship might encourage and sustain activism. I was really happy to see a lot of high school kids and young adults at TEAR Gathering this year. It was also great to hear from Dirk and Nell Frans from IAM Afghanistan (ten years after we invaded Afghanistan) and Gamilaroi elder Donna Meehan. These are a few pictures I took over the weekend:
