Mehrin and I took some time off this week to go and stay at Jeff’s grandparents’ holiday house in Lorne and have a bit of a break.

Credo Retreat was on the weekend. This year we went to Araluen, in Anglesea. (Narbethong was burnt down, but will hopefully be rebuilt. Araluen are giving some of their profits to rebuild other camps.)
We spent the weekend bushwalking, fishing, going to the beach, drinking tea and coffee, sitting around the fire, doing art and just [...]

So, Thursday evening, when I’d gotten back from Bendigo and Mehrin and gotten back from work, we drove to Johanna, where we were having the Seeds City mob retreat. Andreana and Talitha had gone down a bit earlier, so when we got there, after dark, the tents were already set up.
None of us slept much [...]

Tomorrow morning (Thursday) I’m going up to Bendigo to visit Trav and Cara at the Scripture Union mission there, Kids4Life. When I get back to Melbourne we’re driving out to Johanna (past Apollo Bay) for a Seeds City mob retreat. And on Sunday we have the Seeds Consecration Service in Norlane.
So I won’t be blogging [...]

Today Mehrin and I drove down to Braeside Park to have a picnic. (I used to go there a lot when I was a kid.) It was extremely hot! (The forecast was 37ºC.)
There were a lot of crested pigeons where we had our lunch.

This morning we went to Adam and Patrick’s baptism at South Melbourne beach. (They sometimes come to Credo with their dad.)
After Adam got baptised, he baptised Ben and Jeff as well.
After the baptism we went back to the church and had lunch.

Went down to North Shore again this morning.
Afterwards went and got some grey zucchinis (I had never heard of them before) to take for lunch. (Luke has organised some lunches where everyone has to bring a vegetable to contribute to the meal, so that people can make a contribution rather than [...]

I’m currently staying in Norlane (northern suburbs of Geelong, near Corio), at Seedy Abbey (Norlane Baptist Church), with Luke, Kylie, Charlotte, Jo and Bob.
Slept in till about 11 this morning (Monday).
Walked down to North Shore.
Then walked into town.
Got some lunch in town, and some more floating candles, then walked along the beach a bit.

We (Urban Seed residents) went to Lorne for the weekend.
I’ve been taking pictures of floating candles in different contexts recently, so I took some while we were in Lorne:

So on Monday me and Ray finished clearing out level 7, and then Ben drove in so we could go to Inverloch. This is Ben teaching me about musical theory while we waited for Ray:
On the way to Inverloch we stopped at this supermarket to get some food and drinks:
We had a barbecue with Karen [...]
